Our Pet Days, LLC ("Our Pet Days", "we", "us") runs a social network for pet owners and the businesses that care for pets. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to our website (ourpetdays.com), our iOS and Android apps, and our related services (together, the "Services").
The short version: we do not sell your personal information. Sponsored content is never shown to teens. Anyone can download or delete their data, and teens have extra protections described in section 9.
1. Who we are
Our Pet Days, LLC is a Texas limited liability company. You can reach us at [email protected] or by mail at:

2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account information. Your email address, username, first and last name, date of birth, postal code and password. Gender and a phone number are optional. If you are 13 to 17, we also ask for a parent's or guardian's email address (see section 9).
- Profile and pet information. Your avatar and bio, and your pets' profiles: names, photos, breed, birthday, personality and other details you choose to add. Optional identifiers such as a microchip, registration or insurance number are encrypted.
- Health Vault. Records you keep about your pets: vaccinations, medications, vet visits, lab results, imaging, receipts, weight, allergies, reminders and care-team contacts. This information is about your pets, not about you, and we do not use it to infer anything about your own health.
- Content and activity. Posts, photos and videos, comments, reactions, Zoomies (short stories), Adventures, community posts and events, reviews of businesses, saved and hidden posts, and the accounts and pets you follow.
- Messages. Direct messages you send and receive.
- Lost & Found. If you report a lost pet: a last-seen location, notes, a photo and, if you choose, a contact phone number. If you report finding a pet: your name, contact details and where you found it, which we pass to the owner.
- Bookings and payments. Appointments you book with businesses, notes you add for them, and payment status. Card details go directly to our payment processor, Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
- Support and safety. Messages you send us, reports you make about content or accounts, and appeals.
Information we get from others
- Sign in with Google or Apple. If you sign in this way, we receive your name and email address from that provider.
- Parents and guardians. A parent's or guardian's decision to approve or revoke a teen's account.
- Other people on Our Pet Days. Someone may add you as a co-owner of a pet or to a pet's care team, mention you, or invite you to a community.
- Businesses. A business may enter your name, phone number and email when it books a walk-in appointment for you.
- People who find a lost pet may send us information to pass to the owner.
Information collected automatically
- Device and app information. Device type and model, operating system, app version, a device identifier on Android, and push notification tokens. When you use our iOS or Android app, Apple's App Attest or Google's Play Integrity confirms the app is genuine; this does not give us your identity.
- Log and security information. IP address, browser type, the pages and features you use, the date and time of your visits, and sign-in and security events. We use these to keep accounts safe and to detect misuse.
- Approximate location. We estimate your city and region from your IP address, and use the postal code in your profile, to show nearby pets, Lost & Found alerts, businesses and local sponsored content.
- Activity on the Services. Which posts were shown to you, which you viewed, how long you watched each part of a Zoomie, and which business links and buttons you tapped. We use this to rank your feed and to give businesses aggregate statistics.
3. Location
- We use approximate location only: your city or region from your IP address, and your profile postal code. Our apps do not use your device's GPS.
- When you add a place to a post or event, the place you choose is shown with it. For teens, only the place name is kept, never exact coordinates.
- We remove location data embedded in photos and videos when you upload them.
- On our website, if you allow it, your browser may share your location so we can switch between light and dark themes at sunrise and sunset. That location stays on your device and is never sent to us.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
We use only the cookies needed to run the Services: keeping you signed in, protecting forms and accounts, remembering your cookie choices, and limiting repeated sponsored content in a session. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics trackers. We may add optional analytics later; if we do, it will run only with your consent, through the cookie settings in our footer.
Some services load parts of our pages directly in your browser, which lets them see your IP address: Stripe (payments), Cloudflare Turnstile (spam protection), Google Fonts, the jsDelivr and cdnjs content networks, and OpenStreetMap (maps). Our apps include software from Stripe, Google (sign-in, push notifications, Play Integrity and maps on Android) and Apple.
We treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser as a request to opt out of any sale, sharing or targeted advertising, and we show you that we have received it. Other "Do Not Track" signals have no settled meaning, so we do not respond to them separately.
5. How we use information
- To run the Services: create and secure your account, show your profile and content, deliver messages and notifications, process bookings and payments, and provide support.
- To rank your feed. For adults, the feed is ordered using whom you follow, how recent and popular posts are, which posts you have already seen, and posts you have hidden. Teens see posts from the accounts they follow in time order instead (section 9).
- To show sponsored content to adults. Sponsored posts and banners are chosen by country and region. We may also use what you do on Our Pet Days, such as the pets and businesses you follow, to choose sponsored content for adults. We never use information from other companies' websites or apps for this, and we never show sponsored content to teens.
- To keep people safe: apply age-based protections and parental approval, enforce our Terms and Community Guidelines, review reports, prevent spam and fraud, and report child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).
- To give businesses statistics. Businesses see aggregate counts, such as how many people viewed or tapped their content, never who you are.
- To improve the Services, including developing new features and AI features (see section 6).
- To communicate with you about your account, security, bookings and activity. We do not send marketing email.
- To meet legal obligations and protect our rights and the rights of others.
6. AI features and model training
- Reading receipts and lab reports. When you upload a pet receipt or lab report to the Health Vault, we may use an AI service from Anthropic to read it and fill in the details for you. Anthropic processes the image for us and may not use it to train its own models.
- Training our models. We use your content to train AI models only if you turn this on. The setting, "Let Our Pet Days use my posts and photos to improve AI features", is off unless you choose it, and you can turn it off again at any time in your privacy settings. It covers posts, photos, videos, captions and comments, including a business's posts. It never covers your activity (what you view, tap or follow), your messages or your Health Vault records. Content you posted before you turned 18 is never used, even if you turn the setting on later. We never use content or data from teen accounts for AI training.
7. How information is shared
- With other people, as you choose. Your profile, your pets' profiles and your posts are visible to the audience you choose: everyone on Our Pet Days, your followers, close friends, or only you. Reviews of businesses are public, including to people who are not signed in. Community and event content is visible to the community or event audience. Business pages and reviews may appear in search engines. Content you share publicly can be seen, saved or shared by others, even after you delete it.
- With businesses you book with. A business sees your username, the pet record you share for the booking (such as sex, weight, allergies and vaccinations) and any note you add. Your phone number is shared only if you turn on "Share my phone number with businesses I book with". A business can show your pet's photos from a visit in its public gallery only if you turn on "Let businesses feature my pet's photos". Turn either setting off to stop future sharing.
- With calendar apps. If a business subscribes to its booking calendar, its calendar provider (such as Google, Apple or Microsoft) receives pet names and appointment times.
- With parents and guardians. We send a teen's parent or guardian the teen's name and the approval request, and tell them how to revoke approval.
- With service providers that work for us under contracts limiting how they use your information:
- hosting, security and storage (Cloudflare)
- payments (Stripe)
- email delivery (Bluehost)
- GIF search (Klipy)
- maps and place search (OpenStreetMap)
- sign-in, push notifications and app integrity (Google and Apple)
- AI document reading (Anthropic)
- For safety and legal reasons: with law enforcement, NCMEC or others when required by law, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is needed to protect someone from harm or to protect our rights.
- In a business transfer, such as a merger or sale of our company, subject to this Privacy Policy.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with other companies for targeted advertising.
8. How long we keep information
We keep information for as long as your account is active and as needed to run the Services, then delete or anonymize it:
- Deleted accounts. You have 30 days to change your mind. After that, we delete your posts, media, pets you alone own, and their Health Vault records, and remove your name, email, birth date and other identifiers. Some content stays in a de-identified form: comments on other people's posts, messages already in other people's inboxes, reviews and booking records a business needs. Records of your acceptance of our legal terms also stay.
- Deleted posts can be restored for 30 days, then are permanently deleted.
- Data exports are available for 7 days.
- Lost & Found alerts expire after 30 days, and the contact phone number is removed.
- Security and sign-in logs: 12 months. Activity and engagement events: 13 months (so business statistics cover the last 13 months). Expired and signed-out website sessions: 90 days. Notifications you have read: 12 months after you read them.
- Zoomies are shown for the time you choose (24 hours, 7 days, 30 days or permanently), then move to your private archive.
We may keep information longer when the law requires it, to resolve disputes, or to enforce our Terms.
9. Teens
You must be at least 13 to use Our Pet Days. If you are 13 to 17:
- A parent or guardian must approve your account. We email them a link. They can withdraw approval at any time from that email, which suspends the account. You can also agree or refuse to let us process your information; you will be asked separately.
- Your profile starts private. Only your followers can see it, and your pets are hidden from search engines.
- Adults and businesses cannot message you, tag you or start comment threads with you, and businesses cannot follow you. You can message other people only after you follow each other.
- Your feed shows the accounts you follow, newest first. It is not ranked using your activity.
- You will not see sponsored content, and your information is never used for targeted advertising, never sold, and never used for AI training.
- Your exact location is never shown. Only a place name you choose appears on your posts.
- We hold non-urgent notifications overnight, from 9pm to 8am.
- You can delete anything you have posted, at any time.
- Your age comes from the birth date you give us and, where available, the age range your phone's app store provides. We use that age range only to work out your age, never for ads or recommendations. You cannot change your own age to 18 or older; contact [email protected] if it is wrong.
When you turn 18, these teen protections end automatically, and we will let you know.
10. Children under 13
Our Pet Days is not for children under 13. We refuse sign-ups from anyone who tells us they are under 13 and do not create an account. To stop repeated attempts, we keep a cookie on that device for 30 days that holds the date of birth entered. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we delete it. Parents can contact us at [email protected].
11. Your choices and controls
- Visibility: choose who sees your profile, each pet's profile sections and each post.
- Blocking, muting and hiding: block accounts, hide posts, and report content.
- Notifications: choose in-app, email and push notifications for each category.
- Download your data: request a copy of your information in Settings (one request a day; the file is available for 7 days).
- Delete your account: in Settings on the website or the app. You have 30 days to cancel by signing in.
- AI training: off unless you turn it on in your privacy settings; you can turn it off at any time.
- Sponsored content: turn off the use of your activity to choose sponsored content in your privacy settings. A Global Privacy Control signal does this for you (section 4).
- Connected logins and security: manage Google and Apple sign-in, two-step verification and active sessions.
12. Your privacy rights in US states
Depending on where you live, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Texas, Virginia and other states with privacy laws, you may have the right to:
- know and access the personal information we have about you, and get a copy in a portable format;
- correct inaccurate information;
- delete your information;
- opt out of the sale of personal information, targeted advertising, and profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. We do not sell or use information for targeted advertising as these laws define it, and we do not profile people in ways that produce such effects;
- limit the use of sensitive personal information. We use sensitive information only as needed to provide the Services or with your consent;
- not be discriminated against for using these rights.
Categories of information (California notice at collection). In the last 12 months we collected:
- identifiers (such as name, email, username, IP address and device identifiers);
- customer records (such as phone number, and payment status handled by Stripe);
- protected characteristics (age and, if you choose, gender);
- commercial information (bookings and business subscriptions);
- internet and app activity;
- approximate geolocation;
- audio and visual content (photos and videos);
- inferences used to rank your feed;
- sensitive information: account login credentials, the contents of your messages, and information about consumers under 16.
We collect these from you, your devices, other users, sign-in providers and businesses, for the purposes in section 5. We disclose them to the recipients in section 7, including service providers and contractors. We keep them as described in section 8. We do not sell or share them as California law defines those terms, including for consumers under 16.
How to make a request. Use the tools in Settings, or email [email protected] with "Privacy request" in the subject line. To protect your account, we will confirm your identity, usually through your signed-in account or your email address. An authorized agent may make a request for you with your signed permission, and we may ask you to confirm it directly. We respond within 45 days, or tell you if we need up to 45 more days.
Appeals. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision or emailing [email protected] with "Appeal" in the subject line within 60 days. We respond within 60 days, or within 45 days in states that require it. If you disagree with the outcome, you may contact your state attorney general.
California "Shine the Light". We do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing.
Nevada. We do not sell covered information. Nevada residents can send questions to [email protected].
13. Security
We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information. Sensitive fields such as names, email addresses, birth dates, postal codes, phone numbers, pet identifiers and medication details are encrypted when stored. Direct messages are encrypted on our servers but are not end-to-end encrypted. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee the security of your information. We will notify you of a data breach as the law requires.
14. Where we process information
Our Pet Days is based in the United States, and we process and store information in the United States and in other countries where our service providers operate. If you use the Services from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to the United States.
15. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We will post any changes here and update the effective date. If a change is material, we will tell you in advance by email or in the Services, and we may ask you to review and accept it before you continue.
